Inside the Bay:

In architectural terms, a bay is the space between two elements. It's a recess, a nook, a little compartment within. This blog is our bay. It's our little space nestled between the spontaneity of our human nature and the necessity of order in exceptional design.

We invite you to step back into the Bay at DM+A often, to keep tabs on us and learn how and why we do what we do, all the while working hard, having fun, and being nice.

Imagine how surprised and excited we were when we were mentioned on both the popular design blog HomeWorkshop and made the top of California Home & Design's list of favorites for our bathroom (called “Modernism Talks Back”) in this year’s San Francisco Decorator Showcase. We were so focused on finishing the room in time for the Press Walk-Through that we didn’t really think about what would happen next. We knew that we took a few risks with our room design, which is modern and whimsical, but we’re thrilled with the results and honored that we’re getting such great responses.
